Bridal hair accessories handmade just for you! Crystal bobby pins and sparkles for hair are now available in my Etsy Shop.
I have been making jewelry for years, and never even thought about hair accessories until recently. Most of my life I have had short hair and really didn’t use bobby pins, hair clips or hair combs.
Bridal Hair Accessories
Pretty crystals or gemstones on bobby pins are beautiful in wedding hairstyles, updos, etc. Check out all the bobby pins in my Etsy store. They are also great for parties, unique gifts for little girls, stocking stuffers and more.
Bride hair pieces with floral sprays of pearls and crystals are just gorgeous! My new passion!
I have noticed that quite a few wedding hair combs or hair decorations come from overseas. I have started learning to make these beautiful sprays and hair combs as well. Made right here is the USA.
So if you are looking for hair accessories please check out my selections! Let me know what you think 🙂
Little girls will love the different variety of add-on beads to fill her necklace or bracelet and wear on special occasions. Most of all she will love being able to collect and add more beads as she grows!
A little bling in the spring makes everything sparkle better! Swarovski Crystal Beads not only add sparkle to jewelry designs, but below are a few more ways to bedazzle projects and take them to the next level!!
Add some bling to clothing
When I was young metal studs were the in thing to add to jeans, handbags and other clothing. I loved decorating with those, but using crystal would have been so much cooler!!
Try adding Swarovski crystals to clothing in a unique design and then dress it up with other craft materials like organza ribbon, ricrac or even fabric scraps.
Create a one-of-a-kind sparkly design on the back of shirts or jackets with Iron-On Crystal Transfers – Made with Swarovski Crystal Components!
Embellish everything in the house
When it comes to home decor, the sky is the limit for adding a special sparkle with Swarovski crystals.
Dress up a simple gift bag with a charm or bracelet made with Swarovski crystals. Another idea to make a gift really unique is to use beautiful Swarovski crystals to embellish gift bags.
My favorite projects are fancy Wine Glass Charms made with Swarovski crystals or decorating an old lampshade with flowers made of Swarovski crystals.
I love to read thanks to my parents and their example, do you love to read a good book? I wonder how many still like the feel of a book in their hands and not some electronic device?
Do you read for fun?
My Mom and Dad were always reading for fun and through books I was able to expand my imagination and sometimes escape to magical lands.
We had a large bookcase with many books, including an old Encyclopedia Set – remember those? I did many a school report using those Encyclopedias!
Now you can read books online, purchase ebooks and download them to whatever media device you like, but for me there is just nothing like holding a physical book and turning each page. I can see how much of the book I have read, and how much of the story is left by viewing where the bookmark is located.
Some of my favorites
There are so many great books, and over the years I have gone through many different authors and subjects like:
Stephen King Books
Science Fictions Books
Great Love Stories
Bookmark your place
I started making beaded bookmarks a few years ago, using art beads and charms that were left over after a project.
These bookmarks or book thongs add a little personality and decoration to books and also mark your place.
Bookmarks also can be a great small gift idea for readers at just about anytime of the year. My Mom loved them and became my best customer! In todays electronic age they are a unique gift and perfect for:
Gifts for children
Friends at work or church
A small thank you to someone who has helped you out
Stocking Stuffer ideas
and many more…..
Do you still read books?
I would love to know how many people still love to read books. What are your favorite types of books to read and how do you keep your place? Leave a comment and let me know!
Cell phone charms used to be all the rage! That was a short-lived trend because newer cell phones have no place to hook them. Meanwhile crafters and bead suppliers have jillions of them left over.
Likewise, when I was trying to sell my wares at local craft shows years ago, I created some cell phone charms with an assortment of really nice sterling silver bead designs and Swarovski crystal.
Guess what? I still have some of them! They are nearly impossible to sell since no one is interested in them any longer.
So what do you do with them now?
Great idea for cell phone charms
I love incense and have several types of incense burners in my home, including bottle incense holders.
They come with a large split ring and golden cord that hangs on the side. You put the incense stick into the split ring and then insert the stick in the bottle so that the smoke comes out of the top and the ventilation holes on the side.
Over the years the silver split ring had become blackened from the smoke and the little golden cord had become frayed. So I took one of those unwanted cell phone charms and attached it to a new split ring. See how nice it looks?!!
Phone charms are a great way to add a little beaded decor to just about anywhere. Check my Etsy shop to see which ones I have left 🙂

I love to wire wrap when I have time and I have discovered the best wire wrapping tutorials by Donna Spadafore at Gailavira Jewelry.
Beaded Cross Pendant and other wire wrapping tutorials
I happened to find this beaded cross tutorial by Gailavira (which is free, by the way) so I downloaded it, grabbed some practice wire, extra beads I had and started making crosses!
I found this tutorial to be very informative and easy to follow, full of easy to see directional photos and well written steps.
Similar to the reasons for why I love making rosaries, making these wire wrapped crosses was wonderfully satisfying and rewarding.
I made one into a bookmark by adding hemp cord and matching beads, then sent it to my mother. She in turn gave it to one of the clergymen at her church, who was amazed and told her he would cherish it forever!
Each step-by-step wire jewelry tutorial at Gailavira Jewelry will teach you how to make beautiful wire wrapped custom jewelry to wear, give as unique gifts or include with your beaded designs and other jewelry making ideas.
I bought the sword pendant tutorial and can’t wait to sit and make some cool jeweled swords for gothic style necklaces and mens jewelry.
There are also several FREE tutorials including basic weaving and how-tos for wrapping briolettes and making headpins! Check them out and let me know what you think by leaving a comment below.
