Discount large hole beads that fit Pandora, Troll or Chamilia style bracelets are available in many places today. But in many cases you get what you pay for: cheaply manufactured beads.
Recently I was able to acquire some Carlo Biagi beads store inventory from someone who went out of business. I am able to discount these high quality large hole beads because they were on display, handled, slid around on racks, etc.
Discount large hole beads
These discount large hole beads have never been owned but collected dust and tarnish on display counters. I have been cleaning them up, photographing and listing them at discounted prices.
I thought I would tell everyone about this on my blog as another way to get the message out.
A little bling in the spring makes everything sparkle better! Swarovski Crystal Beads not only add sparkle to jewelry designs, but below are a few more ways to bedazzle projects and take them to the next level!!
Add some bling to clothing
When I was young metal studs were the in thing to add to jeans, handbags and other clothing. I loved decorating with those, but using crystal would have been so much cooler!!
Try adding Swarovski crystals to clothing in a unique design and then dress it up with other craft materials like organza ribbon, ricrac or even fabric scraps.
Create a one-of-a-kind sparkly design on the back of shirts or jackets with Iron-On Crystal Transfers – Made with Swarovski Crystal Components!
Embellish everything in the house
When it comes to home decor, the sky is the limit for adding a special sparkle with Swarovski crystals.
Dress up a simple gift bag with a charm or bracelet made with Swarovski crystals. Another idea to make a gift really unique is to use beautiful Swarovski crystals to embellish gift bags.
My favorite projects are fancy Wine Glass Charms made with Swarovski crystals or decorating an old lampshade with flowers made of Swarovski crystals.
St Patricks Day is coming in March and I wanted to share a few Irish Celtic Jewelry ideas! Even though this is right around the corner on March 17, there is still time to make something – in fact, if you love beads, there is ALWAYS time to create!
Irish jewelry ideas for St. Patrick’s Day
First of all, anything green or with a clover will work, but below are a few jewelry making ideas for inspiration!
This Sterling Silver Tiger Bead from Carlo Biagi (UPDATE: This bead is sold out and no longer available making it officially extinct!) is the perfect charm for bracelets themed around a sports team, spiritual energies or for animal lovers. The large diameter hole has no threading and it is compatible with many popular bracelets.
Over the years this European charm has been very popular due to its symbolism of this ferocious animal.
Tiger beads and symbolism
The tiger has always been an important symbol, and throughout history you see it’s influence in art, literature, or as a mascot.
Here are just a few interesting facts:
The tiger is the largest cat! For those of us who love cats, it is a dream to own such a huge kitty.
It is one of the animals in the Chinese Zodiac, the next year of the Tiger is 2022.
The Detroit Tigers football team was named after the nickname of the Detroit Light Guard Military Unit
There are 9 different sub species: three are extinct and the remaining six are endangered
This popular sterling silver bead is also on my bead “endangered list”. There are only a handful of these beads available and they will not be restocked. (UPDATE: This bead is sold out and no longer available making it officially extinct!)
If you are waiting for just the right time to buy this bead, then NOW would be the time. (When they are all gone, and officially extinct, I will update this page.)
To answer the most asked question – yes they will fit on PANDORA bracelets and are also compatible with Troll, Chamilia, and other trendy charm bead bracelets.
The bead hole is 5mm and is smooth (no threading) making them easy to slip on an off any bracelet chain.
This Murano glass bead is fashioned after the colors of the Bengal Tiger. Together these two beads are a great combo to represent this charismatic cat.
Leather bracelets and necklaces are always in style and are a more casual type of jewelry to wear every day. It’s really easy to put together a new look for your arm or neck with the versatile Carlo Biagi black leather cord.
How to make black leather bracelets or necklaces
Pick out your favorite beads or charms
Slide them onto the leather cord
Tie knots at different points on the bracelet or necklace to hold the beads
Measure for your neck or wrist and then tie another knot!
The Carlo Biagi versatile black leather cord is great to use as a bracelet or necklace. Made of quality leather and 40″ long so you can wrap or tie in any way you choose. The ends are sterling silver and are stamped with the Carlo Biagi brand logo.
String on some beads or charms, tie a few knots and you have a really cool custom jewelry bracelet or necklace!
Need a different look at a low-cost? With just a few beads you can create a fashionable lariat style necklace! It’s easy to change whenever you want!
Beads are sold separately and are only shown in pictures above as an example. The leather cord will also work with Chamilia, Pandora and other popular large hole beads.
Cell phone charms used to be all the rage! That was a short-lived trend because newer cell phones have no place to hook them. Meanwhile crafters and bead suppliers have jillions of them left over.
Likewise, when I was trying to sell my wares at local craft shows years ago, I created some cell phone charms with an assortment of really nice sterling silver bead designs and Swarovski crystal.
Guess what? I still have some of them! They are nearly impossible to sell since no one is interested in them any longer.
So what do you do with them now?
Great idea for cell phone charms
I love incense and have several types of incense burners in my home, including bottle incense holders.
They come with a large split ring and golden cord that hangs on the side. You put the incense stick into the split ring and then insert the stick in the bottle so that the smoke comes out of the top and the ventilation holes on the side.
Over the years the silver split ring had become blackened from the smoke and the little golden cord had become frayed. So I took one of those unwanted cell phone charms and attached it to a new split ring. See how nice it looks?!!
Phone charms are a great way to add a little beaded decor to just about anywhere. Check my Etsy shop to see which ones I have left 🙂
